I studied primary and secondary school in Istanbul and I started Bursa Işıklar Military High School in 1979.I started my profession on medicine at GATA in 1983.
I had the right to specialize on the internal medicine and after completing the residency in 1993.
I began to work as an internal medicine specialist in Samsun Military Hospital. By that time,I was qualified on the gastroenterology specialist exam and I was charged in GATA,Istanbul.
I completed my gastroenterology fellowship in 1999 and I was designated to Gümüşsuyu Military Hospital. After 6 months I had started to work in Gümüşsuyu, I received education on ERCP in GATA/ANKARA on Gastroenterology for 1.5 months.
In “Hepatik Fibrozis Laboratory “that we founded in January,2002,we completed the studies of optimization of ‘Lopez de Leon and Rojkid’fibre collagen measuring method and we received the approval of Prof.Rojkid about the optimization.
In September 2002,we started Histomorphometry ve Histological Image Analysis”by taking Nikon system.For analysis,we provided Image J software from “National Institute for Health” and we proceeded by adding special sub group programmes for hepatic histomorphometry.
In December 2002, I completed the course by Boston Scientific on applying GIS metalic stents as fluoroscopic.
In 2004 ,I qualified to go abroad by passing English and Science exams. After the assignment of staff ,in 2005, I worked with Professor Manoop Bhutani in University of Texas Medical Branch for a year to learn radial and linear ultrasonograpfical endoscopy. During that time,I had a chance to work with Professor Raju on “colonic perforation in ERCP and Animal Models”, and Professor Ned Snyder III on Hepatic Fibrozis Serum determinants (APRI-AST/Trombosit- ve Fibrospect)”. During the time I had been in UTMB,I was trained about developing endoscopical systems and consumables e.g.stents in CERTAIN (Center for Endoscopic Research, Training and Innovation).
In November 2006, I served in the committee of the 23rd national gastroenterology congress.
In December 2006, I deserved to get be an associate proffesor.
Between September,1-5,2007,I officiated as a secretary of congress in Hepatogastroenterology Congress.
On 8-10,June,2008, I worked as an application secretary on the 9th Turkish-German endoscopy days.
During the18th World Congress of the International Associatinon of Surgeons, Gastroenterologist and Oncologist’ held on 8-11 November,2008,I participated it as a workshop secretary on endoscopy workshops.
Between 2007-2010, I worked as a part-time doctor in American Hospital on endoscopic ultrasonography.
Between 2007-2010, I worked in Anadolu Health Center/John Hopkins Central Hospital three days a week as an interventional gastroenterolog on ERCP,colonic,piloric and ozefageal stents.
On May 2008,I was appointed to headdoctor in Izmit Military Hospital and at the end of 2009,I left Turkish Armed Forces. From the beginning of the 22 February,2010,I began to work in Acıbadem Kadıköy Hospital embodied by Acıbadem University.
In 2012, I went to Showa University/Japan , for learning endoscopic submucosal disection and POEM and I worked with Prof Haruhiro Inoue and Shin El Kudo.
In 2014 I left Acıbadem University.
Now I work at Endoskopi Akasya, center for Gastroenterology.
Since 2012, I am the chair of TURK-EUS (Turkish Endoskopic Ultrasonograpy Study Group )
